Hydronuclear was a thought experiment design, I love Apex Legends and previously worked on the game, even being mentored by some of the Level Designers on the team, so I wanted to make a POI in that universe, but throw my own spin on the lore of it, then design that lore into the map space. The hook for this POI is the plant itself, the plant has a ton of unique encounter spaces that I took from places in real life and thought of, smashing together a Hydro Electric plant, Thermal Plant, and a Nuclear plant together was my concept. For example, the Hydronuclear reactor that is the main building of the POI, since this facility is damages/off currently, the player can physically play around and within the Hydronuclear chamber where fuel rods akin to Chernobyl can be fought on and around. Typically with Hydrothermal plants there can be spillover/overflow so I even designed the overflow pipes directly into the design, allowing for trenchlike gameplay to take place in the middle of the POI along with the main facility hook.
