Apogee is a Halo Infinite Big Team Battle map, with my design goal being to focus on creating a fast paced 1-flag map that was small in general size but made up for that in the denseness of the spaces. The challenge with this map was finding that balance as if I went too dense it became maze-like, and if I didn't go dense enough the map became impossible to move through as a team. I accomplished the goal of finding a good medium while also meeting a secondary goal I had for the map, that being Vehicles and Players almost constantly interacting.
On this project I was the lead for the entire project, meaning I scripted doors for players to interact with that had to be networked across 23 other players (24 total), did the environment art and the lighting, and of course I also produced and iterated on the level design through constant feedback sessions with BTB players.
The map was adopted by the Halo community, notably Swatnation, for BTB Competitive tournaments & game-nights, Apogee blends high-octane action with dynamic vehicle combat in a way that is fun for the whole game, whether you are the top fragger on your team or the bottom of the leaderboard.

Set within a long-abandoned lava processing plant, this desolate facility transforms from silent night to explosive combat.
